Even at the very end the author could have expanded on the threats and made something more drastic happen, completely wiping out one of the sides so retaliation was impossible, or leaving enough of each side so retaliation was inevitable. There was no particular point in the book where I felt exhilarated and I could not wait to see what happened next. The main thing that made this book okay instead of great was the complete lack of a climax. more I've read and at some points it was hard to stay interested. The characters were well enough developed, but the writing style didn't make me care about them as much as other books. Review 2: This book was interesting, but it didn't have the hook that makes a book outstanding. What an exhausting way to live, makes one appreciate the little things. I couldn't imagine going through everything she went through day in and day out. I loved the female lead in this she is likeable,intelligent, brave and respectable.everything a heroine should be. Although it leaned a little to the boring side at times it still proved to be a tragic and heartwrenching read. I found the plotline to be realistic, informative and well thought out.
The story was interesting enough but I hope the world never comes to this.
